Warum uns diese Zusammenarbeit wichtig ist – und wie es weitergeht (Teil 5)

Why this collaboration is important to us – and what happens next (Part 5)

Quality does not emerge anonymously, but step by step.

Today, the collaboration with the Wendelstein workshops has become an indispensable part of MV-Versand. Although it takes place in the background, it has become a fundamental element of our everyday operations. Around 16 different products are regularly processed in the workshop. Roughly 400 orders or deliveries are generated annually as part of this cooperation. For the work group involved, tasks for MV-Versand now make up a significant part of their daily routine.

For us, this means, in practical terms: we can maintain larger inventories, make products more reliably available, and ship faster even during high-traffic periods. Especially during the Christmas season, when many of our products are given as gifts, this support is particularly valuable. At the same time, this creates a proximity that suits MV-Versand. As a small company, we value personal cooperation, short lines of communication, and reliable partners – and that is exactly what the Wendelstein workshops have become for us: a dependable, regional, and personally invaluable partner.

Quality also comes from trust. Naturally, mistakes can happen with manual work – wherever people work, good processes and checks are needed. This is precisely why clear instructions, samples, and work processes have been developed together. The group supervisors check for quality and completeness, and in addition, MV-Versand carries out spot checks. If products change or new items are added, the procedures are adjusted and practiced together. This interplay of clear structure and human work is an important reason why the collaboration functions. It is based not on speed at any price, but on trust, coordination, and diligence.

Not everything has to be anonymous and industrial. In a time when many things are expected to be faster, cheaper, and more automated, this type of collaboration seems almost intentionally decelerated. And perhaps that is exactly its value. Many everyday products seem taken for granted – we see the item, the price, the delivery time. But we rarely see the people involved in their creation. We would like to broaden this perspective. Not to put ourselves in the spotlight, but because we believe that the work of people in workshops for people with disabilities deserves more visibility and appreciation.

Andrea Kassirra puts it this way:

"In this day and age, there is often little time for reflection. The hustle and bustle of everyday life often forces us to act quickly. In the workshop, time has, to an extent, stood still. What is truly important there is working together."

This thought fits very well with MV-Versand. After all, our products also often stand for order, organization, preparation, and small practical solutions in daily life. It is all the more wonderful when a portion of these products is created through a collaboration in which diligence, structure, and humanity also play an important role.

A first look, and the beginning of more.

With this series, we want to provide an initial look behind the scenes and show that behind many MV-Versand products are people who work with precision, joy, and pride. At the same time, this is only the beginning. In the future, we would like to make the collaboration with the Wendelstein workshops even more visible. Further insights, images from the workshop, and, if possible, voices from Caritas itself are planned.

Because this partnership is not just a part of our operations for us. It has become a part of our history. And it shows that good products do not consist only of materials, packaging, and labels. Sometimes they also consist of trust, patience, laughter, clear movements, and the good feeling of creating something meaningful together.
