Was man im Paket nicht sieht | Handarbeit bei MV-Versand (Teil 1)

What you don't see in the package | Handcrafted at MV-Versand (Part 1)

Why "simply ordered and delivered" often involves much more than meets the eye at first glance.

When a package from MV-Versand arrives at our customers' doors, the first thing they see is the finished product: neatly packed jars, carefully assembled parchment bags, apothecary bottles with matching closures, or tidily prepared packaging units. Everything feels natural – just as one expects from an online shop: ordered, packed, shipped.

What is often not visible at first glance: many of these products involve several careful work steps behind the scenes. Counting, sorting, checking, packing, folding, labeling, and preparing all take place. Especially with small jars, lids, bottles, and bags, precision is what determines whether the correct quantity really arrives at your door—safely packed and neatly labeled. These steps happen in the background, which is precisely why they usually remain invisible.

An online shop thrives on the fact that everything is fast and convenient. A few clicks, and the order is on its way. That is as it should be, and we don't want to change that. But it is precisely this convenience that sometimes obscures how much genuine manual labor goes into a product that looks so simple and finished on the shelf.

And this is exactly where a collaboration begins that has become increasingly important for MV-Versand in recent years. Since 2020, we have been working with the Caritas Wendelstein workshops in Raubling near Rosenheim. What began with a single inquiry is now an integral part of our everyday life—a partnership that goes far beyond simple contract work.

Because the focus is not just on products. The focus is on people.

In this series, we would like to open up this perspective.

We show what is created in the workshop, how the collaboration has grown, and why it means so much to us.

In the next part, we will tell the story of how an initial phone inquiry turned into a firm partnership.
